Unit height
We just returned recently from taking delivery of a 2012 3750FL in Arizona. The Keystone website says my unit is 12' 9" high, just for kicks I measured it with a long bar and level. Hooked to the truck, sitting level, it's actually 13' 8". I saw an overpass sign (driving the TV only), near Austin, TX indicating 14' 6" clearance, that's what caused me to check my highest point, a good bounce or swell in the road could be a problem. I'd hate for someone to ask "It's almost midnight, do you know where your AC unit is...?".

I need to measure mine. I bet most are different from what is advertised. I can't get on the roof, just got to figure out an easy way to do it.

Wow, 13' 8"! That's tall. The limit in the state of Colorado is 13' 6".
If I had a second A/C it would be mounted on the downward slope of the roof and not add too much height (whew) especially if it was a low profile unit.
I'll add that I have an older unit and I'm seeing newer units where it looks like the roof lines are flatter implying higher ceilings and this could mean higher overall roofs. Then with the newer beefier TVs adding some higher with their big suspensions I can't say I'm surprised you are over 13 feet.
When towing I do have a slight upward angle off the level for the rig. It's been a while but mine measured 12' 4" (or was it 12' 6"?). I really should get up there and remeasure, and it's something we should all do especially if something changes (new, bigger tires, new suspension or hitch components, new TV, new accessories). I highly recommend measure the height when hitched up and getting to the scales and weighing everything.
Let's be careful out there, folks.

That is an eye-opening post. Since I upgraded to the G614's which added a little height and have the second AC as well as the satellite dish up there, I do believe that I have some measuring to do. And soon at that, I know that there is a posted railroad bridge overpass on the way to a local park (which I haven't been to in the new rig) that has a 13'6" sign on it. Never gave it a thought with the 3400, thanks for the unexpected heads-up!!

Mine is 13'9" and again that's not what the website says. We have a second AC, however and it is a full size high profile so that's what is making the difference. I don't know if it came from the factory that way or the dealer installed it, we were never able to get a build sheet for it.

Wow, I could see a few inches off but almost a foot, that's scary. How much of that are the G614's?

I am thinking the 614's add a half inch to the rig height, and a whole inch to the total tire diameter.

Now, tis been a while since we were on the PA turnpike, but the last time we did run it, I noted that there were motion detectors mounted at 13 foot 6 inches. If you were taller and set off the alarm, you were not allowed on the turnpike. It was quite clearly marked thusly.
I always figured (a VERY dangerous thing for me to do, figure) that 13 foot 6 inches was the legal height nation wide.
We were 13 foot 1 at the tallest with Big Butt and Tana, guess we are going to have to determine that number now that we have the new ride.

Our 3400 with the second a/c and a cable dome is only 13'3.5". 13'9" is a little scary.

This is the very reason I opted out of the factory installed second A/C. I went with the Carrier low profile ... plus it looks alot better than the standard Dometic that appears very similar to a white Derby hat sitting top front. Your TV will also influence total ride height. It escapes me why most all new trucks sit soooooo high. I could never imagine needing that much suspension clearance unless I was driving "Grave Digger".

I think that I have found the reason to hold on to my 2006 3475RL! With a 2nd AC, the top is 12"9'. I look for a minimum of 13" to get under anything. Last year when entering Canada at Calais, Maine, the Canadian Customs building clearance was 12"6'. I had to get them to clear a way around the overhang. The Canadians were very nice about it and we got through OK. On the return we went up river to the new crossing into Maine. NO problem here.
A foot more height! That is incredible!

I have really got to check this out. Hopefully since we have the older model truck, I will lose a couple of inches there. On our rig the second AC is not the issue, since the second one is in the rear bedroom. The main AC is actually midship so I am really confused as to where this extra height is coming from? I am pretty sure the satellite receiver is lower than the main AC and I didn't think it added a foot to the listed height? I seem to remember that the 3400 was right at 13 foot 3 inches (2nd ac was a low profile on it). I also always thought that Keystone's height included the main air conditioner as well? Confused as usual, but hopefully can measure in the next couple of weekends.

Basically it means I can stand up and put a shirt on in my bedroom, in many campers that's not possible for me. No problem for Joyce.

I have hired an equipement company to move a very tall grain combine with the bulk tank auger attached and extended down I24 in Tennessee and he would move over to the shoulder to be clear while passing slowly under the overpasses. Just a thought if you ever question wheather you can make it through or not.

Not sure where some of you got your heights from. The Keystone site says they (4 that I checked) are all 12'9". That is also near what my 2006 model is by measurement (with a 2nd A/C at the front).

Holding a six foot level from the center of the front A/C measuring to the ground while in the bucket of a tractor on level ground when hooked up to the truck.

Helmick, that's how I did it, except with a 6 foot straight edge with a level attached. I was 12' 6" at the highest point, not including the main AC, with G614's. The dealer in Prescott measured it for me before I departed for Texas, at 14' 3", sitting on the level-up feet, still scarey.

Hi
Have a look at larrymul’s description of his TV. He doesn’t say what model or whether it is 2 WD or 4WD but does stated he has “air bags”.
I would suggest he measures his trailer unhooked from the TV and level.
While Keystone may provide trailers that are marginal in some respects concerning DOT regulations they couldn’t provide a trailer out of the factory that doesn’t comply with DOT regulations for Interstate highways.
Bingo
You are correct about the G614. They only raise ours about ½ inch.

Ours measures 12'9". On the way back from Alaska, we went under a bridge that was marked 13', but the road under it had been recently repaved, so I didn't know it the sign was still right or not. Real tense moment!
