Has anyone had leaks in the 381? We just dropped ours off so the dealer can determine what is leaking. At 2 weeks old we are demanding a new coach, we feel they will never be able to properly dry it out and and replace all the materials that were wet. Not sure what will happen but we are preparing for a long fight. My wife and i love the coach and plan on keeping it for a long time. We have the insurance company involved and next will be a local lawyer. We will see where it goes.

Be sure and keep us informed, and please post that info on it's own thread so everyone can find it. Thanks.

We just purchased 2018 Montana 381TH. Took it out for first time and appears ac units are not cooling like they should. It would be only 3 to 7 degrees cooler in living area than outside temp. All shades were pulled and skylights covered. Anyone have this problem?

Also, how do you cut the refrigerator off?

We have owned many campers in past and went from a 36' carriage Carri Lite to this one.

Thanks

Yep we have issues but are finding help here. Look for threads on collapsing AC ducts

There is a switch inside battery compartment that will turn off inverter that powers fridge when your not on shore power

Really concerned us it wouldn’t cool any better but I think it is just going to be a venting and sealing up units better issue. Still sad that they come from factory like that!!

We were concerned the 2 airs wasn't going to cool the unit. It is with service now because of several other issues. We love this layout but there seems to be quite a few factory defects. Thank goodness we did take the extended warranty out for 6 years.

Thanks for your help!!

Our 381 came in Friday. Can hardly wait 'till Saturday when my wife and I will spend half the day going over it with the dealer before bringing it home. Thanks to this forum we both know more with what to look for. Is it Saturday yet???

Thats great! Congratulation & good luck do a diligent walk through. I would even request a pressure test for leaks, even if I had to pay for it I won't buy another one with out it.

Thats depressing news, hope you have good luck with the new one. What problems did you have? We are thinking about the momentum 376 if we get our money back.

Be sure to look at return air vent on living room AC. MAKE THEM TAKE OFF GRILLS AND PROVE THAT THE DUCTS ARE NOT CRUSHED!!!!

Also have them operate the leveling system more than once on UNLEVEL surface

Those two systems are universally giving everyone trouble

Best of luck to you. It is a great floor plan but Keystone is just throwing them together.......,,

Well learned today the ac issue was collapsed return vent, the bed not raising or lowering was the disconnect was off and low voltage and the satellite Jack not working was a bad switch. Now to get the other minor issues fixed. It has been at dealer since the 24th and it wasn't until I got Keystone involved and they contacted the dealer that things began to move.

Good luck, I hope you have better than average luck. Forest River has far more serious recalls and general issues than Keystone. Not saying Keystone is good, just saying I see the monthly list of recalls and how serious some of them are.

We just went through some warranty work, as soon as I contacted the dealer & didn't like his response we contacted Keystone & started a claim. They spoke to the dealer, I called them every day & met face to face with the service manager & finally we moved forward in a good way. Just always be nice, polite & keep going up the ladder. good luck.

Great news, good luck! We love ours aside from a water leak we thought would be worse. One thing to check, the angle on the bottom of the slide outs. Ours only had a thin bead of clear silicone which did not adhere to the siding, you can roll it back with your finger.

Oh yes been very respectful and nice. Our camping world is horrible on techs and customer service so I brought Keystone in. Anything constructed on an assembly line is always going to have flaws, it's getting those flaws corrected is what matters. Thanks
