Roller shades

Have 2017 Montana high country 3790 fifth wheel. For roller shades have broken dealer won't cover under warranty since over a year old. Anyone know where to get parts for them. Black internal guts in tube totally desenagraded. Wish they were the day night shades that my cougar had. My 2013 coungar was built way better than this fifth wheel. Thanks

There has to be a label on them somewhere, probably Irvin shades is my guess. If you find out the manufacturer, you can deal with them direct.

When ours go bad we will be replacing them with MCD shades. Might as well replace them with the best.

Just replace them with better quality shades if you can, we plan on doing that after the warranty is out bc all they do is keep replacing them under warranty for us and they keep breaking especially big one in back window.

Most like they are made by Irvin Shade if they are like mine. I emailed them and sent me the replacement spring assembly at no charge.

Really they did? Good to know bc having dealer replace it is a PITA, I would rather get parts direct from MFG.

MCD were on my Cougar and never a problem. 4 on the Montana have been replaced under warranty and 3 more will be soon. After warranty I'll buy MCD replacements as these are worse than junk.

The roller shades that are in the Montana's are from Irvine Shades and Door Co and I think they are located in Elkhart, IN. Give their customer service a call and they should be able to help you since your dealer won't work with you. Oh, by the way, the Irvine shades are made right there in their factory and not made in China!

We have the Irving Roller Shades and the only problem we've had is their mounting brackets breaking. They are good sending replacement brackets, but on advice of others I have added cable ties in an "X" holding the shade to the bracket.
We're "Long Timers" so ours have plenty of use in the past 3 years and 30K miles.

MCD is located in Mc Kinney, Tx just north of Dallas. For them to install new shades you have to make an appointment similar to Mor-Ryde . Bring your rv in and park it and they will measure the same day or early the next day. Takes about 2 days to make your shades then about 2 hours to install them. You can stay in your rv while waiting for the install. They have electricity -no sewer and i don't remember about the water but you can bring a full load of water if need be and would be sufficient.

I delt with the same issue on my HC. Had replacement parts sent under warranty that were the wrong part, then on the second try, the part was broken when unpackaged. DW hated them anyway and I was tired of dealing with the hassles. So, we installed Levelor blinds from Lowes that were cut perfectly to fit all the living area windows. They look fantastic and made the unit feel more home - like. Kept the crappy shades in the bedroom for now. They still work fine.

Jeff no pic or link. If you can get to the top of the shade where it attaches to the wall bracket it's pretty easy to see how to fish a cable tie between the roller and it's top bracket and mounting bracket, then just cross the ties and pull them tight.

I was there in Feb to have the MCD shades installed. They are great to deal with. But you do have to make an appointment. They have about 10 spots will water and electric (50 & 30 amp). No sewer but normally not a problem for one week. If you have to dump there is a place about 2 miles away.

Be sure to have BBQ at Hutchins just up the road. One of the best I have ever had.
