If you still have room for one more, Vicki and I would like to join you for a portion of the time. We'll arrive on 1/24 and depart on 1/27.

Hi Doug,

Dawn & I should arrive Jan 21st.
Were going to leave BC today, but with all the snow forecasted for Washington State, decided to wait until tomorrow, weather looks a little bit better.... No we are not that slow of drivers, but what the heck, we're retired. We putt around a little on the way down (or alot).

Helen and Bill, your Montana is going to be stuck to the pavement in your site if you leave it sit there that long. And your Ford will think you don't love it any more. So hitch that thing up and head west! There's still plenty of time. And Florida will still be there when you get back.

Steve, that's definitely not a bad idea. Although we actually enjoy the snow, it's always a little tedious getting everything ready for it. It is a lot better than the single digit cold we had earlier this week and last month, though. Today, we had about an inch of rain before it turned to snow, and now we have about eight inches of snow, to be followed by a lot more. I just finished putting the chains on the fire equipment, and it seriously crossed my mind to do the same to the truck and trailer. It'd take two days to put everything back in the trailer, but then the roads would be clear enough to head south. We wouldn't have to worry about traffic, either.

I haven't been checking on the weather at Quartzsite, but I'd put money on the fact that it's nicer than right here, right now.

Dennis, Close to a foot of the white stuff, and I just got in from playing with the snow blower. I'm glad it wasn't rain like they're having in Q. That's a big problem when the temperature is as high as it is down there. Which do you want to deal with, snow or mud?
Sharon's trying to deal with Hughes about our data rate, which hasn't been very good. Right now, the data rate with them on the phone isn't much better, either. We hope to get it straightened out by the time we leave.

Bob,

That's a lot of snow. I'll bet Doc is about as happy as he can be!

I hope the rain does not cause us any problems in Q.

With all the cloud cover don't you expect to have reduced service or even no service? Or are you talking about clear skies type of problem? Talking with the folks from Hughes/India can be a very trying experience! I was lucky the one time I've had to talk with them. I got a fairly decent English speaking tech. Good luck.

Hi gang:
now we are traveling with another friend from back home who caught up with us in Louisiana and we are wondering if we could make a space in or nearby the circle for him. Sorry he has SOB trailer and is not a member of the MOC group. Dick Benson from Syracuse NY.should be in Jan. 24th with us .
