Ft. McDowell, AZ.

Stayed here during the month of Feb. 06. What a negative change from a year ago. The raised the rates about $150 month without advising us in advance of our res. Trailers stored in the parking lot and dog droppings around the park. We didn't see any landscaping maintenance during the month. The pool and hot tub were out of service for half the time we were here and no refund offered after we asked. Some people who used the pool got rashes and many would not go in even if it did work. Several horse trailers parked with people living in them. Some office staff very unfriendly. Would not come back.

Jim, if you don't have an account at RV Park Reviews, http://www.campgroundreviews.com/, you can go to this link and get one. That will allow you to post your personal reviews of any campground you stay at. It is an invaluable resource both before you go to find out what others think about the place you want to stay, as well as after your return. We have not traveled outside of Virginia yet (we retire summer of 2007), but have given both positive and negative reviews of places we have stayed. By giving your first-hand account, you are helping everyone. Just a thought! Keep on truckin'!

CanDo - I opened an account and posted the same review on that website a few days ago. You must be just busting to get out of Viginia when you retire. Don't forget to come to Western Canada and we will be sure to make it to Virginia.
