I 75 between Valdosta and Macon

Anyone know how I 75 is between Valdosta and Macon, GA. We are getting ready to head back to the Nortlands at the end of March I was wondering if I 75 is still torn up. Coming down last fall, I thought the Monty was going to be ripped out of the bed of the truck!

Thanks

I took I-75 through there heading down to FL from MI, and coming back home. It's not the greatest, but I've been through there when it was MUCH worse!! There is still construction on different area's of I-75...but when isn't there?

Gary, went through that stretch on our way back from MI on Feb 12. Still a pain with construction at that time. Couldn't wait until I hit the FL border.

I believe there is a National or Georgia DOT website which gives construction updates.

We're in Elko Ga right now, just south of Macon, heading north and still alot of construction but the road is in good shape so far. A lot of lane closures but surface condition good.

Thanks for the link, Gary. I'll bookmark that one...

Is this the link you were talking about after you enter the website you listed above?

GA Current Construction

Also, I found this link on that website, this could be useful to anyone traveling I-75 in the southern half of GA. Thanks again, Gary for this very useful link.

Which was pulled from this link:

And since I'm on a roll here, I just found this one on all current travel alerts in GA. This one includes the alert about Americus - all roads in and out of this city will be closed for several days. Tornado.

That was the one Dave. I also bookmarked the other three sites. Nice to be able to check the status of the highways before making the annual trek North and South.

I agree, Gary. As it seems that our main travels for now will be I-75 between N. MI and Central FL, I will find a lot of use for these links.

I just have to remember to stay away from those HOV lanes in Atlanta...
