Since we just joined this group I will be posting several recommended campgrounds in this area that you might otherwise not find in your travels.

There is a new county RV park called The Point at Emigrant Lake in Ashland, Oregon with 50-amp service and right at one end of the lake. There are not many trees at this point, but the view of the lake is great. It is not very far off I-5 and you can see the lake as you pass over I-5 into Oregon. It is a good value and can be reserved through the Jackson County Oregon Parks online: www.jacksoncountyparks.com

Thanks toolmanroy! We are in the Sacramento area and we either go over to Bodega Bay to camp, or we go north into Oregon/Washington. I've printed out your post and will save it.

I really goofed on this one and forgot to mention it is only open April-Oct. You can check with the Jackson County Parks site for information on making reservations.
