I haven't but have heard concerns from others regarding high pressure water blasts affecting decals. Hopefully others with 1st hand experience will post.

Mike,
We have had our rig washed at a truck stop several times. Our best deal was at a wash in Goshen. They used the pressure washer wands like you see at all car washes plus they did a lot of "hands on scrubbing". And the price was very reasonable. I think it was about $40. As long as the pressure washer is not too strong and don't linger in one spot you should be fine. The guys at the truck wash knew exactly what to do. Good luck. Dennis

We have used Blue Beacon Truck Washes a few times and they do a good job. Just request a brush wash. Cost less than $40.00 for Monty and TV.

I have been through many. No bad effects. Most do a good job.
They do use pressure wands and brushes but I think the wands are a low pressure compared to those used on houses and decks.

Thanks to all. I thought it would be OK and when on the road a great way to get the grime off quickly. I do the front bug catcher often but see the grime buildup elsewhere.

We have used them as well. I just remind the workers to not spray water up into the fridge compartment.

We use Blue Beacon and haven't had any issues. Cost around $45 for tow vehicle and 5er.

Same here...plus I'd never trust somebody at a commercial wash holding a high powered hose in his hands.

Mike, most frown on it, but, some will allow.

Some will allow on your first or second day in if an extended stay.

Ask, some will not allow YOU to wash, but, will allow a portable private crew to come in and do so, which you pay premium price for, but of course, me smells kickback $$.

Some will allow you to do it, and charge a fee, like $5.00 for the extra water you are using (??)

CountryGuy has even gone out in a rain storm and washed the bugs off in one place that was particularly strict about washing. Oh, it was dark outside too! LOL

That said, we have been out since November 15th and have only done nose cone cleaning. We are quite surprised at how clean it still is, even the Grand Canyon brown/red stuff washed off with the snow and rain at Monument Valley, Moab and Bryce!

Mike, Even though it is generally posted no RV washing I always ask. Have never been turned down but most insist you fill a bucket, and wash from that. They don't want the constant running of the hose. I fill a bucket, use a long handled brush, then just a quick rinse with the hose. Jim

I am up early in the morning when no one else is stirring and do the bucket wash thing section at a time. I do not use a hose. I bucket rinse also using microfiber cloth rags to both wash and dry the unit.

Owner don't want muddy drives and water all over the place. Being discrete avoids complaints.

After stating that most Campgrounds do not allow RV washing, I am now sitting in one that does and advertises it. Blackwell Island in Coeur de Alene, Id.
