Joseph Stewart State Park Oregon

The Joseph Stewart State Park is located about 15 miles north of Shady Cove, Oregon on the way to Crater Lake off Highway 62. It is a very large state park with spacious but mostly open sites. There are trees but not all sites are shaded. Trailer sites have electric and water only, and some of the electric sites are only 20 AMP. This is a nice park when the weather is not too hot or if you have a boat and want to use Lost Creek Lake, which is part of the park. There is swimming at the lake, but it is located in a separate area of the park. This is a first come, first served park and is known to be full on the weekends. It is open March-Nov 1. Off season (Oct-May 1) it is only $12, a good deal, and during the season is $16. There is a dump site in the park. We personally go there quite often in the spring and fall when it is quiet and before the tourists arrive.

I don't think we've ever been on Hiway 62. The park sounds like one we would want to stop at and linger for a few days.
Thanks for the information on this.

If you live in northern California and went to Crater Lake you probably got there by Highway 62 unless you came through Klamath Falls. It goes from Medford to Crater Lake.
