Grey tank #2 won't drain

Montana model 3661, year 2017. My grey tank #2 (kitchen sink) will not drain; only the grey tank #1 drain when dump valve opened. Indicator on panel shows grey tank #2 is full and sink drains very slowly. The dump valve was recently changed under warranty by Camping World because of leakage - could this be related? Also, temperature is freezing here in NC, but tank heaters are turned on.

Yes, it could be related. It could be a faulty valve too. Also, the black and gray #1 tank valves on my 5er are heated in the convenience center, #2 is on the frame and could more easily freeze.

I am having the exact same problem. I think #2 on frame is frozen. Thinking of putting a block heater on the frame anyone thinks there might be a problem with this? I suppose it really does not matter because it will not drain anyway. Also the Dometic fridge decided to stop working after 2 months. Now just a big cooler.

Welcome to the forum Rwalker.

The handles that are in the convenience center and in the frame by the tires are just pulls for the valves that are located in the enclosed belly on the tanks.

My thoughts are that you either have a frozen valve or when Camping World replaced the valve they over tightened it make it difficult to pull or in your case impossible.

You do know that the galley tank drain handle is not in the convenience center?

The handle is under the slide out to the right of convenience center.

I only have one handle in convenience center for both grey tanks and I don't know how the two grey tanks are connected. My previous 5th wheel had two handles for the two grey tanks, but this one does not.

You should have another handle aft of the convenience center under the rig.

Each holding tank has its own drain handle. No two tank share a handle. The handle for your galley tank is along the frame, under the slideout, in the area of the tires on the driver's side. The specific location differs from model to model. Take a close look down there and you will find it.

I have never seen or even heard of both gray tanks on one valve. It would be an engineering feat to have 1 directly behind the handle and another several feet behind connected to the same handle. Even electric valves are separated. I bet if you look you will find another handle on the street side, possibly under a slide out.

It makes me feel really bad that some dealers do such a lousy PDI. There is no excuse for it!

There should be a small sticker on the side of your coach indicating the approximate location of your second dump valve. Even though I was told where it was I had to really get down low and look for it. It helped to have a flashlight.

During my PDI, Skippy told me the convenience center held the only valves.

I had to show him where the 2nd gray tank valve handle was, along with
"this is my 4th - 5th wheel son, no charge for the intel"

The location was predominately marked on my Cougar,,, not the Montana but knew it had to be there. Sadly, it is UNDER the middle slide (Bonus Room) street side.

We had the same issue in our 2018 3120. Crappy PDI and seriously Montana....how hard would it be to put an access door under the label for the “hidden” 2nd grey tank?
Hubby cut an opening and installed an access door. Ours was completely enclosed unless we opened the kitchen slide, which by the way comes out only after the dining room slide...a bit inconvenient at a dump station.....

My new 3761fL has all 4 drain pulls toward the rear near the sewer outlet. Just wonder why the washer drains into the 1/2 bath black instead of the gray-----
