Photo PLEASE of Slide Circuit breaker Cables

A bizzare request I know but can someone who has a 2006 Montana please send me a photo of the the cable configuration from the battery to the slide circuit breaker. I replaced the breaker and got the cables mixed up and don't want to hook it up incorrectly. Here is my e-mail address if that easier. Thank You if anyone is out there

Dadgummed, how did you do that? The battery only has two cables; one ground (-) and one hot(+). Hot side to one terminal on breaker; pump wire to other terminal on breaker. I'd send you a picture of mine, but I have a fifty and thirty paralleled, and that might further confuse the situation. Good luck.

Not trying to be stupid but my breaker has one side that says "Battery" and the other side says "Aux". I hooked the (+) battery cable to the "battery" screw on the breaker and it wasn't pretty. Wires started to over heat. The new 50 circuit breaker I bought isnt the same as the original and I have a bad feeling this one I purchased from a RV dealer isnt correct. Both screws on the breaker are silver. Not gold and silver like the original. Does that mean anything?

Jaybird,
I can not get a picture but here is how my cables run.
I have two breakers (left and right).
From battery to bottom pole of left breaker.
From bottom of pole of left breaker to bottom of pole of right breaker.
Top of left breaker to trailer fuse panel.
top of right breaker to slide motor and a 30 amp fuse for landing leg motor

I agree with your description something is not right if you had heat.

Just curious. Were you replacing the breaker due to a problem with the slides? Like Dennis said, a picture of the breaker might help.

Here's a picture of mine but it requires some explanation.

I replaced the stock breaker with two 40 amp breakers wired in what is known as parallel, which means each breaker handles an equal share of the electrical load.

Here's an explanation for the two red wires the come in from the bottom of the box and connect to the breakers. One is a wire directly from the battery, and the other is a jumper wire that runs over the single breaker shown right of the box.

Circuit breakers all have some kind of markings on them to indicate which wire should be connected to which terminal. The word terminal is in reference to the threaded posts sticking out of the breaker. If you look closely at the left breaker in the picture, you can see "AUX" (it's upside down). This indicates that the wire from that terminal goes to whatever the breaker is powering, which in this case is the slide motor. Some breakers will mark a terminal "BAT" or "BATT" which means you hook up the power (the wire from the positive battery post) to that terminal.

The red covering you see on the terminals in my picture is 'Liquid Tape', which is a type of electrical tape applied like thick paint.

Hope this clears things up for you.
