Soft spot in floor

In our 3500RL, there is a soft place (appox. 8-10 inches around) in the floor in front of the steps going up into the bedroom. The only cause I can think of is; if the grey water tank from the shower gets to full water will leak out from under the trailer. I've read that some have the tanks have a problem of bad seals around the vent pipe on top of the tank. I don't know how close this is to the bottom of the floor.

I suppose the vinyl will have to be taken up to investigate the floor. Has anyone replaced the vinyl, as it goes under the cabinets and everything?

Are you saying that you currently have water leaking from underneath your trailer when the shower grey tank is full? The top of the tank is actually about 6 inches or more below the vinyl floor if you have the dropped frame. I would think it might be from your black flush check valve or shower outlet - perhaps a slow leak.

Remove the louvers blow the stairs - just 4 screws - and do some investigating.

Thanks for the quick reply. No water leaking right now. I will normally close the grey water tank for us to take 2 showers to get enough water in that tank to flush the sewer hose after draining the black water tank. If I forget to empty the tanks soon, and we take more showers, the water leaking will be clear with no odor. I'll remove the vent and check there. I hate to think about removing the panels under the trailer to see in there, but may have to.

What year do you own? The dropped frame, like ours, is underneath the basement. The frames on earlier years were all one piece from front to back.

Sorry for being so long in answering, busy, busy. 2006 year model. But ours has the cut back corners like the '07 year models.
