Permanent RV Site Purchase?

I realize that this might not fit here but I can't seem to find a place to ask this question.

Does anyone have experience with purchasing a permanent RV site in a resort/campground? We are looking at a site in Florida and we are wondering how it might be financed. It appears that banks don't recognize a permanent site as a mortgage or property. Do any loan companies specialize in this?

We just bought in Imperial wilderness in Naples Florida and it has park models along with RV site. Its unfortunate Florida banks will not finance vacant land and we tried and i tried to get a Michigan bank (Where we are from) to finance but no go. you will need cash. good luck.

We own land for just ourselves in Kansas and a lot at The Ranch, and Escapee park in Lakewood, NM. We paid cash for both, but if I needed to borrow money, I'd ask others in the developement how they financed theirs. Someone is lending some money and the others should have an idea who.

We winter in Deer creek Rv and Golf resort near Disneyworld. It is a HOA community and banks do finance the purchase of lots. The resort has a reality office on the property.

Having spent 10 six month snowbird seasons in Florida, careful research is advisable before any purchase.

Good points all around. In crunching the numbers, we will likely not buy into the resort we were looking at. We have stayed there three or four times in the past and it is one of the nicest (and most expensive) we have found. That being said, we don't believe would be able to invest enough time into being there to make it worth while monetarily. We would also have to give up Sanibel Island which we are not eager to do.

If you choose a Rv resort on either coast the price will be high .We can't afford it.
We are inland exit 55 off I-4.We are very near all the attractions and there is plenty to keep us busy. Deer creek is a very nice resort built around a golf course. It is not a campground but a HOA community.
