Hydraulic Jacks & Slide-Out

I have a 2017 Montana 3000RE. I am having trouble with my leveling jacks when raising lowering. I first thought the battery was low, but it was not. When they stopped working I have to wait about 30 seconds and the jacks will start working again, momentarily. This process goes back and forth until I get the jacks down or up. I do not notice that happening when I place the jacks in the auto level position. I seems to happen when I am lowering or raising the jacks.
The same things happens with I am extending or retracting the slide outs in the living area. Does not happen in the bedroom slide-out.
I believe this situation is worse. By the way this happens more when the trailer is not shore power.

The circuit breaker for the hydraulic pump is tripping. This is normal when you are in colder temps. The Lippert Level Up owners manual has info for cold temp operation.
If you are in warmer temps, the circuit breaker could be weak and may need to be replaced. It should be an 80 amp auto reset breaker. Some people have used a manual reset breaker that seems to work out better.
I hope this helps!

Also, aren't the newer Montanas bedroom slide cable driven instead of hydraulic???

Yup this id the classic sign of a weak self resetting circuit breaaker. Replace the 40/50 amp with an 80 amp one. Read this Topic for lots of information.

You really only need to replace the breaker that powers the hydraulic pump and usually also feeds the 12 volt side of the main panel. The other breaker probably should not be more than the 40 amps it is probably rated at, as there isn’t very large wires or load coming off of it.
