Will someone be posting the Arrival and Entrance procedures to the campgrounds?

Leemedic-
Before Rally, your site will be assigned and posted. If you come in early, you can stop at the office and pay for your extra days. Then proceed to your site. If you come during non-business hours (including the weekend), proceed to your site and go pay for any extra days when they open. If you arrive on Wednesday, we have escorts arranged to take you directly to your site. Looking forward to seeing you in September. Please see additional info below.

Just to clarify, your site may not be open if you arrive before the 17th. If you plan to arrive early (before the 9/19 Rally start), please make arrangements with the campground. Your Rally fee covered 7 nights of camping. Any nights beyond that are your responsibility. We plan on being in Friday before the Rally. We will NOT be able to get into our site because of the Rally ahead of ours. We have already made reservations with the Campground to get a site outside of the Rally area. The number for the Elkhart 4H Fairgrounds is 574.533.3247. Hope this clarifies things on early arrival.

Thanks, we have already made reservations to arrive on the 18th. It is our first trip up there, and just did not know the procedure, or which gate to enter the area, or where the office is located when we get there. I just hate getting lost when I am towing that 40' trailer. LOL

Darnell- You enter the campground at Gate 2 of the fairgrounds. The office is the second brick building on the right just before the fenced area going into the fairgrounds. You park in front of the office and go inside to pay for your extra day. Coming in on the 18th your site should be open. There MIGHT be someone from the escort squad there to direct you to your site(they should be to the left as you stop at the office). There have been some that have come in early on the escort team but if not the office will give you a map of the campground and show you where your site is and how to get there. Enjoy your trip from Florida and see you at the Rally.

This is our first time too, and getting weighed on arrival at noon Sept 19th. So we enter Gate 2 to check in do we get weighed there too, before or after checking in with the office? Thanks!

Bevard,
You will go into Gate 3 to be weighed first. Once you are in the gate look to the right and in the large parking lot you should see the weigh team. Go to where they are and get weighed. Once your unit is weighed pull your rig out of the way and go into the office to register.

The weigh team said they would put up signs to give directions to all those having their truck and rig weighed. If not follow my instructions.

Help please with early arrival! Need help for today! Thanks!

Elkhart already knew we were coming in tomorrow, however we are making good time and are thinking to just drive straight through today. I tried calling to update our arrival date, but no one is there on Sunday in the office for the phone number listed on this site. Is anyone already there? We were thinking we’d be there about 8:00ish. Is this a possibly to get any site for the night? Will someone be there to check in? Or should we try to find something on our way? It’s pretty limited out there. Thank you in advance for any help. Being newbies to the rally and this place, we don’t know the policies! We are on hwy 55 heading toward hwy 80.

You should know your site assignment as they have been posted. If it is open park it and check with the office Monday. The are plenty of spaces in the fairgrounds just find one and park it if your assigned site is not open. We have done that plenty of times over the years.

There are MOC members already there and will help you.

we came in today and our sites were open, no problem. It appears that nearly all the RVs from last weeks Rally(Discovery MHs) have left the premises. Just drive in and check it out . sorry this is late.

Ron and Anna will be late to arrive due to being broke down in Grand Rapids. Truck in shop fuel problem hope to be arriving by this weekend.
