Yea, maybe 1 pound if your lucky. These are acrylic tiles. 10x10 sheets that stick to the wall. No weight at all.

You know that looks a lot like the interior of that $400,000 Winnebago that had the complaints. $400,000 look done right, great job!

Very nice. Weigh the rig, if it's still under the Gross weight ratings, then nothing to worry about. I especially like the wood coverings (cutting boards?) over the stove. Those would probably add more weight than the tile work. I also like the reminder that I need to get a realtime AC meter!

I started something like this two years ago using self stick tile, liked it, but like this better. Did you use anything for a backer or sticky surface other than the wallboard?
One other posting I saw that did something similar used the sticky backing from home depot to set their tile.

I was going to use clear liquid nails but decided not to. The stuff really stuck to the wall pretty good. I silicone the edges around the counter and up the corner. You have to use a hair dryer to get it off. Home Depot has this stuff on their web site but we could not get any here in Fla so we went straight through the manufacturer. It's called Smart Tile and they are in Quebec Ca.
Art I know I am under my gross# because we moved everything from our 2955 over to this unit. I have yet to get the weights on this one yet. On our last unit I weighed everything as we put it in.
Di, That's why I posted it. Will make cleaning a whole lot easier and it kind of sets the kitchen/living room apart.

Read the whole post. The tiles are made of acrylic. They weigh maybe a pound. They are like a plastic. I know they look so good they look real.  I just put 40mm vinyl on the door that is across from the tile job to off set the weight difference.

Folks, it's not like he changed out the carpet for marble flooring or replaced the corian with granite. The most obvious is that this won't affect the weight much. If it did, carry less beer and buy it when you get to your location. Does beer weigh less than water because of the bubbles?
Too many topics on weight compliance lately and we're getting out of hand. There was a recent post about a member who discovered one of his light control switches had a dimmer on the side. I wonder how much weight those new switches add to a rig.
LOL jsmitfl - 40mm vinyl on the door across from the tile... I think you should have gone with 20 mm cuz you're listing the other direction now. LOL
Note: I am not the weight police... If you are not compliant or don't care, then YOU are the weight criminal! How about that?

We did the same thing but with the Glass sheets then grouted it and they weigh no more than a couple pounds and that was the LAST thing I worried about was how much weight they were going to add, but you never know that extra couple of pounds could be more than my Marathons can take

Can you tell me -how are these to clean? Being close to stove and sink was wondering what would you use to clean them and do they look like they would stain? Your job looks just perfect, would love to do this myself!

Hey Jewels, I just got them on so not real positive about staining but my guess would be no. As far as cleaning we use a lot of Windex so I don't think it will hurt them.
