Our first TV was a 3/4 ton srw long box- It did ok towing a 29 footer- When we upgraded to a 35 footer it was evident immediately we needed a dually- A dually is much more stable in windy conditions- We are towing fulltime and are on our 3rd dually- JHMO- don

I am sold on Montana's. My wife and I will purchase one this spring. Likely a 32 to 34 foot rig. I am getting a lot of mixed advice about a tow vehicle. I will soon be purchasing a Dodge (I like the Cummins engine).

Do I need a 3500 dually or will a 2500 work well?

I travel for work and will drive through mountains occasionally. I generally will park the rig for 1 or 2 months, pack up, and drive to another location. My family will also camp locally during the summer.
I haven't read this whole thread because it's similar to many other threads we've had and I'm sure the same kinds of advice are being given. I'll just suggest you look at the various signatures, including mine, then do what you are most comfortable with. It has to be your decision and one you are comfortable with. Feel free to click the envelope icon above this post and email me if you would like to discuss it farther.
