Odor in new cabinets

Our Montana is new and we have only used it about five weekend trips, so far. We have notice that some of our clothing, towels and light blankets have a slight odor which is inside the new cabinets and closets. The cedar lined closet is fine, but the other small ones in the bedroom has that new wood smell, which isn't too pleasant. Wondering if any of you have experienced this in the pass, and what was your solution? I thought about some type of room freshner, possibly some of those stick-ups.

Pat-- You could purchase some of the little cedar discs and put them in each drawer or cabinet and it will all smell like cedar then.

Pat it could be the glue used in the fabracation of the plywood, famaldahide, it will eventually go away but it is a annoyance as far as smells go.

I recently added a couple of shelves in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I installed them and closed the doors. When I went back, I got a strong odor from the finished that I used on the wood. I left the doors open and the smell went away. Leave the doors and drawers open when you aren't using the rig and I'm pretty sure that in time, your odor will disappear also.

Thanks to all that responded. We are going to leave the doors open while not on the road. I'm sure that will help. But, Pat jumped at the idea of the little cedar discs. She loves the smell of the wardrobe closet. Thanks again from both of us...

Pat,
Not sure of where you store it but be sure and leave the vents open and if possible a couple of windows. When possible run your fantastic fan. The more you can air it out the sooner those smells will go away. Jim
