Polycarbonate Drink Ware

After seeing some other RVers using these, I've been looking for polycarbonate drinkware and found some really nice, lightweight, clear polycarbonate drinkware at Target. They had various styles from short tumblers, tall tumblers, two sizes of wine glasses, beer mugs and margarita-style glasses. They look just like glass until you touch them. Our local Walmart had some in stock two weeks ago but sold out.

Polycarbonate is a high impact plastic that is shatterproof, stainproof and highly resistant to chips and cracks.

You can buy polycarbonate drink ware online but I like to see it in person and avoid shipping charges.

Keep us posted how you like it. We bought Acrylic and never will again. All of it has spider cracks running through it now (temperature changes?) and after a year, they just seem to come apart.

All our glasses are Target polycarbonate. We love them and have been using them around the patio for a while.

Polycarbonate is certainly extremely tough and strong, but it is fairly easy to cause surface scratches. Just be careful about how they are stored for travel, don't stack them together. That said, they are probably still the best bet for RV use (in my opinion anyway).

We found and are very happy with our Tervis Tumblers. They are expensive, insulated and very wonderful they never crack, no need for a coaster, they never sweat . They come in various sizes, can be made in many different designs...take a look at the website.
