Parker, CO

We're heading for Parker,CO this week (probably around Thursday or so)in our 2980RL from Omaha and wondering if any of you have any advise for an RV park, campground or State Park close we can set up in for about four days or so. Just got back from our inaugural trip in our Monty this weekend and thought we'd take it out again to visit a niece in Parker. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Cherry Creek Reservoir/State Park. From the front gate it is a straight shot to Parker though the road is quite busy. The further away from the campground office you get, the closer you are to this main road. Entry fee plus camping fee plus water use fee if you want to use the res. If you are coming in via E-470, be prepared for heavy toll as they charge by the axle. That said, it is the least stressful way to get there. If C.C. is full (which frequently happens!) Chatfield is another option though it is quite a bit further away. Safe travels! Enjoy your visit.

Scenery is probably a bit better at Chatfield if you want to see the lake from the campsite. C.field is a state park as well, think the daily entrance fees are $9.00 until October 1st. Camping runs around $20.00+ depending on whether you want full hookups or not. Chatfield is about 20 minutes straight west of Parker.

That tollroad from I-76 to Parker Bowie refers to runs $6.00 per tollbooth pulling a 2 axle trailer by the way. There are at least 4 booths from 76 to the Parker area.
