MONTANA DEALER IN KANSAS CITY, MO/KS
Our driver side landing gear broke this AM upon leaving Colorado Springs, CO. We will be in Kansas City, MO Wed 9/2/09. Anyone have a recommendation relative to a dealer in the KC area either KS or MO?
Thanks,
Alan & Kathy

Alan, LifeStyle RV is the local Montana Dealer just East of K.C., http://www.naylorrvs.com/Home/tabid/11050/Default.aspx. I bought my Montana there in 2006 but have had limited experience with their service dept. You might also try Croft Trailer in K.C. They have done my wheel bearings, brakes, and wet bolt installation. I have been most satisfied with their services. www.crofttrailer.com/ They have 4 locations in K.C. area.

Alan-- If you are coming through Nebraska to get to KC, Leach Camper Sales in Lincoln and also in Council Bluffs, IA are Montana dealers and we also have a Camping World in Council Bluffs. Good luck and keep us informed!

Thanks for all the suggestions. As of this writing, we have left our trailer with Liberty RV. They are a Keystone dealer but not Montana. I called keystone for a recommendation of dealers from Hays, KS thru Kansas City, MO, and Liberty was the only one that told me to come on over so they could take a look. Everyone else was either too busy or not interested. Lifestyle referred me to a mech. that was mobile, but I preferred a dealer. Liberty set up a place for me to park my trailer with hookups since I did not get there until after 5 PM. This AM they called Keystone and the mfg of the jack and ordered a new unit. Due to time issues, Keystone suggested that we order direct from the mfg and then submit the paperwork for reimbursement. I prefer this approach only because I have had a bad experience in waiting for Keystone to order the part then reship it to the dealer. In addition Liberty is storing my trailer until the part arrives at no charge. Fortunately my sister lives in KC so we have a place to stay until the trailer is ready.
I will let you know how all this turns out. Lots of problems with our new unit so we add this to the list. Hopefully this is the last item.

Alan & Kathy, how did this work out for you? Sorry Lifestyles wasn't able to help you. They're an excellent service department but also are very busy. We were there Thursady, 9/3, getting the cooling unit in the refrigerator replaced. If there's anything you need while you are waiting this out, don't hesitate to click the email icon above this post and email me and I'll give you our cell number.
Chris, thanks for posting on my behalf.
