busy weekend with new 5th wheel

finally got my garage space back by loading up the old TT stuff to the 5th wheel. it is amazing what we had in that TT before. got rid of a lot of excess stuff for sure.

put new G614's on this weekend, realigned the screen door door and the latches for it so it closes clean now. added Kobalt hanging baskets in the basement. added i-bolts to tie down the chairs and tables against biggest wall in the basement. added anchors in the floor for the air compressor, added wire hangers Kobalt, added surge suppressor in basement, added cover on roof for bedroom vent working on Fantastic fan one next, drilled a couple of small holes along cracks in the air-condition and fender skirt to prevent it growing bigger, replaced the 120v lights with led's, staged the 12v lights to all be replaced. DW is out there now putting wood treatment on all the wood cabinets. been a busy weekend. still have to work on the generator compartment for the tool box etc……… oh and had to return some bed stuff because the bed was suppose to be a queen and turns out to be a king. Measure measure measure. almost done !!!!!

So I would imagine that if your pass through doors have gas struts and a real fix applied to keep them attached to the door hasn't been done...that will be the next thing that will require a fix. You have sure launched into getting the unit squared away, good job. And all this is taking place during the winter...amazing! John

Oh my aren't you two just having a great time!!! The last time we traded out we took all our stuff out and put it in the garage as well. We can certainly agree about the shocking amount of space it took up in the end. Have fun!!!

I've heard of others having problems with these struts, but mine have not been a problem at all in over 3 years of fulltime use. Knock on wood!

Hi Cathy and Dennis,

We are SO looking forward to our delivery this weekend. We also emptied out the old trailer, stuffed it in the garage and are thinking of what to keep versus store.

I appreciate you sharing all of the prep - I am a few days behind and following is easier than figuring it out 'wrong' the first time.

Nothing like fun stuff to do this time of year if you can't get out yet. Should make for even more fun when you can take her out.
