Basement door hinge
2018 3811MS.
I shut my basement door and apparently there was something behind it that wouldn't move when the door shut. Consequently, I sprung the hinge and the door won't shut. I tried to repair with the tools I had but just made it worse.
It needs to be replaced.
You can see in the attached photos that it is pulled away on the top left.
Anyone know how to find a replacement for this, or had any experience in replacing this hinge?
Please and thanks.

I went out and looked at one of my baggage doors.
If it was me - I would get my pliers out and try to straighten things out enough to be able to slide the door out of the hinge. Each end of the hinge side attached to the trailer skin will have a small screw and a plastic plug keeping the door centered and in place. Looks like one of the your stops may be damaged already. Slide the door off the hinge to the left toward the door if you can. Get your pliers and start re-shaping everything. You may need to re-attach the hinge on the door panel to panel frame. I would just add more flat head screws until it is secure. Slide the door back into the hinge and check the swing...just keep bending and adjusting with your pliers until the door swings like it should.
That is what I would do before I picked up the phone and tried to order new parts and a new door panel.

Had a baggage door that would not close properly. Dealer took 2 shots at adjusting it under warranty before replacing it

If you order the new door, does the frame come with it? our door is fine, hinge is messed up - we tried adding the small screws but it falls off frame. How hard to change?

Yes, the new door does come with a frame. But I'm too cheap and I didn't want to pay the $400 plus for the door and $200 for the installation
I was unable to repair the hinge because it was to beat up.
Instead I bought a piano hinge off Amazon and cut it to fit.
National Hardware N148-429 V570 Continuous Hinge in Nickel @amazon.com/
I installed it on the door first, then had my DW hold it steady while I installed about 30 rivets, maybe more. Used the rivets fastening the hinge to the door too. It's been a year and not one of them have come loose yet. The down side is the hinge is made of nickel coated steel which can rust.
I've added some white lithium grease to slow down the rust. and worked it into the hinge the same way you push grease into a bearing. I used Lucas Oil 8 oz. Lithium Grease in White-10533 - The Home Depot
Good luck.

How did you remove the old hinge?

I went out and looked at mine. It looks like the hinge extrusion is riveted to the frame, so you would drill out the rivets to remove the hinge.
