2019 Big Country 331RL - Hide a Bed

Hi folks,
We recently purchased a 331RL and did not pay attention to the size of the Hide a Bed. Folded out the dimensions are 64 inches wide and 70 inches long. This seems a bit short for a adult of 5 ft 10 in to 6ft in height. How have others modified this bed to accommodate larger folks?

I will pay more attention next time to the size.

CW has an insert that goes at the head of the bed/mattress. Adds enough to make it a normal bed.

Does the insert make the mattress more comfortable? The hide a bed is unusable by adults because of the unevenness of the mattress.

No, the insert just makes it longer. A 4" topper or taller will make it comfortable. Sadly nothing but a topper can help. My last 2 5ers came with a king. I cut the platform to fit a queen and had a mattress made locally.

Firstly, I should have said High Country, but you know that.....
In any event, it seems like you are speaking to the main bed, I am seeking input on the fold out sofa. It seems it is designed for children. I have some friends that could be staying with us in the 330RL if I can get the fold out sofa rigged to have an adult sleep on it. I do not mind purchasing a topper mattress ie. 4 or 5 inches thick, but I still have to deal the fact the fold out sofa is only 70 inches long and a normal bed is 80 inches, I think... Thanks for your help.

Not sure if this will work~~ depends on mattress thickness.
