2 THUMBS UP FOR BOUNCE!!!!!

I know many here have touted the magical powers of Bounce dryer sheets, but I was skeptical....that is until today when I washed our rig. Two wet sheets was all it took to get all the bugs and grime off the front cap with very little effort. I'm believer!!!!

I'm glad to hear that the Bounce sheets worked. I was a bit skeptical of that use when I first heard about it, but Bounce has proved itself worthy of some other tips, so I should have been a believer. Glad to hear that Bounce did the trick for you. I'm going to give it a try as soon as we have a day without high wind, rain, or hail. (That Montana weather has been rough lately!)

John: It wasn't that difficult. The worst part was getting on the ladder and oh ya, doing the rest of the rig after the cap. I did cheat a bit this time though and left the slides in while I washed and dried it. After I was done , I put the slides out and just wiped down the slide walls. It went a lot quicker and seemed easier.

TL: It did not seem to take the wax off. After I went over the front cap with the bounce, I washed it down with my usual mixture of auto wash, simple green and water. When I rinsed the rig off, it still beaded up like it had just been waxed

Wayne and Carolyn: I hope the weather improves for you soon. How is the "TANA" fairing in the elements? Did you get the truck indoors and under cover so it would continue to be nice to you? We just had the high pressure oil pump rebuilt on ours. What a mess when the O-ring went....oil all over the place...yuk!!! Just glad it happened now instead of next week when we are on the road.

Robbie: If you supply the water (and mean an ample supply of water, enough to do the job) and the bounce I will SHOW you how....After the brief demonstration I can supervise real good with a cup of coffee in hand Still planning on Qsite!!

I've heard they are really great at getting dirt and grime off. How one question, do you really want anything that strong against your skin? When you use them in your hot dryer they deposit their chemicals on your clothes. Then when you wear those clothes they release those same chemicals onto your skin. Don't mean to be so negative about dryer sheets; but, I have had some bad experiences with them before we found out what was happening. This comment is just IMHO.

Guess you heard then? Yes, there are several participants at Quartzsite who help supply water. I have a 45 gallon water bladder and when connected to my 12-volt pump, I can supply water to anyone who needs it. Whoever goes to town, takes the water bladder and has it filled with drinking water....costs $2.00 each time. So, there is no need to worry about water!

I'll supply the water, ladder, bugs and bounce. You supply a thorough demonstration.....You like fresh ground beans and drip coffee?

ehmcfarl: I reckon we all have different things we are sensitive to ... I'm a line mechanic of 38+ years and kinda enjoy the smooth hand deal after I use the Bounce sheets. I'd imagine even the wash soap in the bucket would tend to dry your hands out if I were to worry. IMHO

I picked up a Swiffer mop handle at a garage sale, thinking a bounce sheet would fit on the "business end" and eliminate the ladder, but havent't tried it yet. Should be good for the awning, too.

When traveling, I wet the windshield with water, put a bounce sheet on the end of the service station squeegee used to wash the windshield, then just the squeegee and bucket water to rinse. It is really nice when they have a water hose at the trucker's pumps as that is where I always stop when traveling. I do the same thing when I'm in a hurry at CG's and I have my own squeegee cleaner. I am looking for something that will clamp down the Bounce sheets, but I have not found one yet. I'm thinking of making some type of elasticized clip on that would pull the sheet tight.

Let us know if it works out....I was thinking of trying the same thing but don't want to spend the money for a new one just to try it.

Here is another Bounce believer. DW now keeps old sheets after they have done their job in the dryer. Cleaning bugs is now somewhat enjoyable,not.
