All of our fender screws on both our 06 3400 and the 13 3402 fell out. We replaced them with screws lock washers and nuts. We replaced the last two screws on the 3402 last week that came off on our trip back from Florida. It took 5 years for all of them on the 3402 to fall off.

Working through mine; lost three of them on the maiden voyage home. Hope I'm not causing too many flat tires.

Every trip I seem to lose some.. so I used silicone.. the the fender washer method.. the fender still wiggled down the road as there is no support on the backside. I have now took the front bracket where the fender screw goes thru and zip tied it... now it seem a lot more firm... thing is, should never have to do this..

It was suggested here years ago to put spring clips on the back of the screws. I did that and 6 years and 50,000 miles later we just traded it in with the same screws still on it.

I replace the screws with 8X32X1" stainless bolts, washers on both sides, and a nylon nut to hold it.

Thing is, we should not have to fix manufacturer flaws...we don't get paid to build these...

Spring clips go on each time we buy a new unit and we never have any problems after that.

But think of the number of fenders that Keystone installs on all their products and the number of screws that go on the fenders. Think of the cost of all those spring clips and the employee man hours that would be expended installing the spring clips. Some bean counter came up with a great idea so save $$ and probably got an award for it.

We find it easier just to fix the simple problems ourselves like many seasoned owners have learned to do.

We usually pick our warranty issues for remedy that are more complex and expensive and spring clips aren't even close to making the short list.

On stuff like that I don't even worry about whether or not Keystone should have put them on. I just stop at the hardware store and a few minutes later I don't have to worry until the next rig.

Does someone have a picture of a spring clip? Not for me of course, but some of the wives out there might not know what they are.

Like I said, we should not even be doing this.....the money I gave was not defective nor did that money need to be worked on to make it right.

I replaced all the screws with stainless steel allen head bolts, flat washer on each side, lock washer and nut. I added a little Lock Tight; don't expect them to come loose.
