Drain for drain pan and CW

Took our Monty to CW to have a stackable washer and dryer installed. Each person I talked to I asked to be notified where the drain for the drain pan would be located.

You guessed it. no drain was installed. Was told it was not on the paperwork. My response was why didn't anyone tell me BEFORE the work was done?!?! After a bunch of finger pointing they are going to re-install it.

Tech even sense it did not make sense to install drainpan without a drain.

Will know Monday if they do right by us.

So much for being able to have the DW's Mother's Day present installed on time.

At least she will love it when she get's it. This is my wife's favorite option. She never liked putting clothes in a washer behind someone who had just washed there oily construction clothes. Good luck with Camping World.

We have had one since 2006.They are small and a load takes a while to do but they are very handy. We may do 2 or 3 small loads a week.

We just had W/D installed at CW...similar head shaking experience. They provided us with a quote for installation but turns out one needs to define what the term installation means. They attempted to charge me extra money four times. Each time ultimately resulted in no change from the provided quote I had but by the time the work I ordered was done they were just as happy to see me leave as I was to leave them. I don't see how such a large organization with as much capital funding as CW can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory soooooo often. The irony is that when all was said and done they did a good job. They just make the experience so mind numbing. The worst part of it is nobody at CW appears to care how bad this kind of stuff makes them look. Lots of room for improvement!

...Marcus L. just think how much your GP would increase if you did good work on top of having a great customer experience. You would not need to attempt bait and switch techniques to up your margin.

Well have to hand it to CW. Went in to pick up camper. It was ready and finished. Drain was installed. Was already for for then to add extra charges. Just handed me my keys and I was out out there. They made good on their mistake.

Good to hear a success story. I hope this is the start of more of these happy endings.

I just picked up my new 3791RD, I had CW install the washer and dryer. There is no drain pan.
Can someone tell me if the drain pan should be part of the install, or is it extra that I should have requested.

I had to request it. I also had to specify I wanted a drain for the drain pan.

I don't know what a "drain pan" is both our 06 3400 and 13 3402 were W/D ready with a drain pipe OEM that runs directly to the outside drain. We just hooked up the water, inserted drain hose into drain pipe and ready to use.

Placing a drain pan under any water-using appliance is always a good idea. Our durable and waterproof Drain-A-Way™ pans are created especially for Splendide appliances and utilize rotational molding to provide a seamless construction, uniform wall thickness and dense corners that absorb shocks and stresses where they occur most. Pans come in sizes listed below or can be custom manufactured for your application at a minimal charge.

Kinda like ignoring the break-in period on a TV
