Power vent rain sensors
It looks like the rain sensors work part time. Not that it's raining enough to worry about. Just noticed one click closed and the other stayed open.

We've got fantastic fans and even fog will close them and keep them closed.

Might be a tolerance issue with the rain sensor for each fan. The one that closed might be more sensitive than the one that stayed open. Or else, you might check its fuse. Or hopefully, you don't have a vent cover so that the sensor will never sense precipitation,
Hopefully you won't have to climb on the roof and pour water on the sensor (if you can locate it) to test it. It's raining where I am, but I'm staying indoors and watching the Falcons clobber the Packers. Not pretty...
As for the Steelers, a Boston man was arrested for setting off the fire alarm after 3am at the hotel where the Steelers are staying prior to today's playoff game. Nothing like interrupting the sleep of the opposing team on critical game day. I hope they don't tie this dude to Belichick or any other New England player.

I know of no way to turn off the rain sensors....where is it? I know you can manually open the cover, but I haven't found any way to make the fan run when the rain sensor is activated. Mine are both very sensitive, even heavy fog will set if off.

Before I installed vent covers, we had the fan operating when a little rain storm came through and the cover closed and the fab turned off. It surprised me until I realized it was supposed to do that. Their web site says that the rain sensor can be cleaned with a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol.

From the Fantastic Vent web site, the 4000 series does not have the rain sensor override, but the 5000 and up series do have it.

All sensors are working. Don't know, don't care.
