Tall Toilet
I would like to exchange the toilet in my 3400 for one that is taller. Has anyone done that? If yes, what toilet model did you buy and how do you like it?

Our OE toilet was a Thetford not long after we purchased I installed the riser worked well for a lot of years.Last summer I purchased a Dometic High Rise Model 310 from Tweetys on line they had free shipping and was on sale I think about $129.00 currently I think about $148.00
I did have to reroute the supply line by drilling another hole in the floor the new toilets base covered the original hole where the supply line ran up from the storage area.
With the Plex water lines, install was very easy.we just love the high rise toilets we built a new home in Florida and had them installed now would not be with out. We have a 2955 your install on a 3400 could be a little different

When we bought our 2008 we also had a riser installed. I don't remember the cost but it was well worth it.

Ours came with the tall toilet. Whatever option you go with, worth the effort! We have in the house as well.

Mel, we have a Dometic, Model 310. It is taller and has a china bowl with holes in the top of the bowl that swirls the water around the bowl when it is flushed. We like it a lot. - Jim

Me too. I am 6'3" and my wife is 5'10". We yanked out the original toilet and put in the Dometic 310. In that small room the taller toilet makes a big difference.

Our 3400RL had a real tight toilet seating area. Since both of my ACL's had been reconstructed, I had a little difficulty sitting because I could not put my feet out to relieve the pressure on my knees.
So, I ordered a new Sealand replacement a little taler, like 17 inches. I said what the heck and also got the 3" riser (I think it was 3") When I installed the new items I drilled all the way through the flooring and put in bolts with fender washers for a good strong support system.
However, DW is only 5'4" and the first time she used the toilet she said something had to be done. She did not like the idea of her feet swinging freely when she was using the facility. The riser came out, and she was happy.
Just be careful what you wish for! Hee hee!

Another good point of the Dometic 310 (taller seat) is that the pedal is on the other side for easier repair.

Had the dealer install a riser. The riser was like $30, and I think an hour labor for the install.

We recently put in the Dometic 310 with the sprayer. The taller seat is great but the sprayer we could do without.

I put the riser under ours and really like the added height. Only thing that may give you a proble when installing is the additional height(length) needed for the water line. I had just enough slack so I was able to pull and make the connection. Less expensive then replacing the whole unit.
