Thanks

What sensor on what fins? I didnt know anything about this. Would someone please explain.

I put one of those battery operated fans in the fridge and it seems to work. The heat index in Minnesota was 117degrees today I was complaining this winter about 30 degrees below zero I am not sure which one is worse.

Thanks Steve

Steve F-- There is a sensor to increase or decrease the temp in your frig on the back wall with a wire leading from it, where the metal fins are just above the moister collection tray also in the back of the frig. The sensor should be slipped over the last fin on the right hand side! If you slide the sensor up the frig temp will get colder. If you slide it down, it makes the temp warmer. Just look in the inside of your frig and you'll see both the sensor and the cooling fins!

I know where it is but how do you move it? I don't see any screws and it is not moving and afraid will break something. Mine is not on the far right fin but just want to move it up some in this heat. Are there other problems this may cause in this heat?

Is there a reason to move that sensor? Don't the temp adjustment controls on the front panel change it enough? Or do some not have the front panel controls?
Mine has never seemed to have a problem at the mid point or next colder control setting.

Our last rig had the Dometic (RM28XX) fridge that did not have any external temperature adjustment control. The temp was suppose to adjust automatically. If you wanted to make it colder or warmer you could move the thermistor up or down on the fins. I never noticed a great deal of difference moving it though. I added a ventilation fan at the back of the refrigerator on the outside and this had the greatest affect of reducing the inside refer temp in warm weather.

On this rig we have a Norcold refer and the different temp settings do a fine job at controlling the temp.

Ours doesn't have any control adjustment other than moving the sensor on the fin. Just needed to adjust it a little in this hot weather. Been hitting 100 every day this week.

Bill, moving the thermistor is just fine tuning since we have the 5 settings on the front. I have ours all the way to the top.
