US 87 North Bound and Loop 1604

I live in San Antonio and drove down to my hometown of Nixon, Texas on US 87 on Sunday. We saw two Montanas on Loop 1604 that goes around San Antonio. I waved since I was in my car--they probably wondered "Who the heck is that??"
Then we saw a number of RV's heading up US 87 from South Texas--more than we usually see on any day that we take that short trip. Must have been moving day for some Winter Texans--the wind was brutal--25-40 MPH all day!

Wasn't me. But we were towing north up US 69 toward Greenville and then US 380 toward McKinney in that wind. Was very pleasantly surprised at how stable we were. The truck and Monty barely wiggled whether with a cross wind or head wind.

Wish I'd known you live in San Antonio. We spent January and February at the Blazing Star. Sorry we missed you, Tim and Susan.

Tim

The wind had been brutal all spring. We had 20 to 30 mph all the way back from Victoria. Sure plays havoc with the golf shots.
