Finally getting warmer!

We have had snow, ice, frigid temperatures and cloudy days in Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. Today, as we left Tennessee and entered Arkansas, it was still cool but at least sunny. Our new adopted Greyhound, Sunny, has had a ball - meeting a host of new friends and getting a crash course in bonding with us because we are pretty much confined to the rig, pickup or friends homes. Tonight we are in Arkadelphia, AR where it is now 30 degrees on the way to 20. Tomorrow we will enter Texas for the first time. We will be in Willis for the weekend and then Rockport for two weeks. From there, we will tour Texas and Arizona. We absolutely must find some warm weather soon or Sunny will not believe anything we tell her from now on!

I'll meet you half way for lunch when you are in Willis.

Sandy Lewis - where are you?

It is getting warmer in TX. Today we actually hit 72 deg. and we had the door & windows open. That fresh air was wonderful. We are going to get some rain over the next week. At least it is warmer. Tell Sunny she is spoiled!!!

Finally warming up in Florida too... I get to take my plants out of the shed for the first time in the new year.

Enjoy Texas Carol, Jim and Sunny.

Sounds good, Wayne.
Sunny knows it, Myrna. Actually, we are the spoiled ones!
Helen, glad that you are getting warmer, too. I know we will enjoy Texas, thanks!

Sunny looks like she's in the lap of luxury! What a great pic.

Last night we camped in Tehana, TX. This is a nice PA park on US-59 but there was no cell phone or internet service. It soon seemed like a blessing to not have these things we have taken for granted for so long. Today we set up in Willis, TX, north of Houston. It was in the lower 60s most of the day. WOW!!! We loved it and Sunny told us that it was about time. She really wants to romp whenever we got out of the truck. It looks funny when Carol is being towed by Sunny. The rains have started but it is still warm and we LOVE it! We will be here until Monday, when we go to Rockport.
