I have been thinking this morning. Yes, dangerous I know.
Both water "blowouts" I have had in my unit have been on the hot water line. First the hot water hose gasket under the kitchen sink and second the hot water faucet on the shower.
If I had not been home at the time the water hot water would have kept running.
Would this have resulted in damage to my hot water tank if the hot water had been running for several hours?
I have decided to make it part of my normal routine to turn the water off at the spigot when I leave my unit, but wonder what other damage could result besides flooding.
