S637

Just got a set of S637’s and need to get them mounted. Seems like I remember reading somewhere that going to a 110 psi tire required bolt in metal valve stems ....... I know many of you guys have gone with the S637’s, do they in fact need those valve stems? Also going to go with TPMS do they require longer than normal valve stems?
TIA

I believe most will tell you to go with metal valve stems for TPMS. I don't believe they need to be special in length.

Definitely use the metal valve stems even if you don't have a tire pressure system. It is doubly important to use them with a tire pressure system. The extra weight on the end of the stem will do a job on the rubber ones otherwise..

Rubber valve stems are only good up to 80 psi tires. Metal ones are required for anything over the 80psi.

Well you bought the best tires get the best valve stems. As they are part of the system if they fail then the the tires flails and can be destroyed before you stop.

Amen to that!!!

I once had a friend that was fretting over buying a $3.00 bait at the bait shop. I looked at him and said "you have over 100K in boat and truck sitting out there and you can't decide if you need to spend $3 bucks more?"
