Thanks

Awning motor would be first thing I would troubleshoot.

You should be able to reach the power connector in the arm closest to the front of the rig using a ladder. If you pull the wires, there should be enough slack to allow you to unplug it. Then using a vom on the connector going into the rv, check for 12 vdc when the switch inside is operated by someone. No voltage present means the fuse is blown...red led under one of the fuses will light when switch is toggled. Voltage present...motor is gone to the grave. That simple...but the double check you should do first if you find 12vdc at connector when switch is operated is to supply 12vdc from a battery to the motor side of the connector to make sure you don't have a weird wiring problem going on at the switch. I saw that happen on a motor home where the 12vdc wire going to the switch was from a corroded connection and would read as there on a vom, but would collapse under load.

When my awing failed, it was the switch/controller on the control panel. Had it replaced works great.

Awning fail

If you hear a faint click sound when flipping the switch for the awning, it is probably the motor. In other words, the fuse and switch are working and sending current to the motor, but the motor isn't working.

Check the toggle switch first, we had the same issue.

My awning motor would click also after the last roll up. I thought for sure the motor would be good and something was mechanically jamming it. The service department said the motor was bad and replaced it at my expense. Dometic changed their most recent revision to 1 year for the warranty, needless to say mine went out at 14 months.
