Dishwasher.

Has any one tried to put a dishwasher in a 2400RL? I think I can get one in but would like some feedback.

We have a 3650RK and were looking at putting in a dishwasher. We didn't, but we did figure out that a dishdrawer will fit. We were looking at a Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer.

We thought about one but when we checked into it they all wanted us to pay their expenses [food, fuel, and housing] as they followed us on our travels. Couldn't get the grandkids cause their parents said they had to go to school.

Dave, that looks more like a garbage disposal!

It is actually a combination unit, garbage disposal, dish washer, bed warmer and yard fertilizer. It will occasionally clean your feet too... Dave

HEE Hee. Have you ever heard the one about the preacher who went to dinner and the dishes where dirty. The missus said they where as clean as soap and water could get them. Then she called out the back door< "Here Soap, Here Water." Woof Woof.

But seriously, we sure would like some pics and ideas about installing a dishwasher.

Yup, DW actually has a very high maintenance dishwasher in our rig. When it isn't working she smacks me hard in the back of the head and tells me to get back to work.

I like mudchiefs setup. The Fisher Paykel is a VERY nice unit! Several friends use them in their stickhouses and swear by them. They can be stacked on each other for double the capacity, but in an RV one should suffice. They have very good capacity.

Duh--I have to admit, Robbie, that you had me going for a moment. I kept thinking, "Of all the people who WOULDN"T have a dishwasher, it would be Robbie & Alice," because you boondock so much. Duh, duh, and double-duh. You do provide Alice with gloves, I hope, so she doesn't get dishpan hands, right?

Now don't post a follow-up telling me I really missed the boat because you did build in a real dishwasher. No . . . couldn't be--I like my dishwasher (in the stick house), but it's not my best friend.

Carolyn,

My dishwasher's best friend does all the cooking and all the grocery shopping....fair trade.

Dennis, I have found a Fisher Paykel dishwasher at Lowes for $699. Would that be the best place to get this?

Fisher Paykel dishwasher

I am not sure I could install this myself, Dennis, but I would like to see those detailed pics also. Also interested in how you resealed your HWH access that you enlarged.

Dave, the dishwasher you show would also go in the large opening that you saw where I cut out. PM me your email and I will send you some pictures.

Dennis I clicked on your email about an hour ago. I can send a PM too...

Dennis, are you satisfied with this appliance model/make, or would you pick another unit now?

Dave, I am very pleased with the one we have. However it's only a 4 place setting. However it is fine for the 2 of us. The cost was about 1/2 of the one you are looking at. But you can most likely get bigger pots in the one you are looking at.
