Just came across some good news from Reese Technical Support that may be beneficial to those of you upgrading to the larger Montana's.
I have the Reese 16K Kwik Slider hitch. The slider and rails are the same for the 16K as they are for the 18K Select Plus Kwik Slide (not the signature series), therefore I can upgrade my hitch to an 18K rating by just installing the 18K select plus hitch plate to my existing slide, rather than buying a whole new 18K Signature Series hitch at around $1,000. Not sure of the actual cost yet, but less than $500. The 18K Select Plus has the same positive wrap around lock as the Signature Series.
