Leaking Galley Tank

On week 3 of a 4 week trip, and thought I had joined the ranks of defective tanks. Saw. water leaking under trailer, dropped belly and discovered my wonderful dealer had used long screws when they had the belly down for other warranty work a few weeks ago, and one screw drilled into the bottom of the galley tank. Bouncing around must have widened the screw hole to the point it began leaking.

Called dealer, will take it in next week when we get back. But....at least not an issue of poor factory workmanship or quality of tank vendor.

Put silicone in hole, down to a drip, and will be leaving valve open until we get home. Just once would like to take a trip without something breaking or malfunctioning. Been trailer ing since 2003, and I guess it will have to happen in another life!

Frustrating. Another example of why I do my own repairs whenever possible.

There's very few dealers I trust to do anything, and I can't recall any of them . . .
