Ordered our 2955RL from the factory, and took delivery in May of 2006.

We received our Montana RL3400 in May 2006. We have experienced very few issues, knock knock on wood. We love this floor plan and for me especially the desk, TV, fireplace design.
I have had the shackle breaking issue repaired and installed the Morryde X Factor and have had to replace the OEM black tank due to a crack. The second tank cracked after 1 1/2 years of service but is patched and will remain installed until another issue. I have completed so many mods I would not really want to start over again.
We plan to hold onto this one for as long as it holds together. The industry seems to have moved to dark wood, dark walls, dark flooring. Neither are we fans of the new exterior color schemes as well. So we have our fingers crossed that our Montana holds up.

Ours was 14 years old May 6, 2014, lived in full time all during that time. It's been our experience that you are better off keeping them and repairing them than buying new ones all the time.

We bought our 2006 3650RK (Montana has since discontinued this floor plan) off the lot June 2006, moved into full time ever since. We travel about 12K miles per year. It has been a great unit. I've got so many mods and added upgrades, I can't afford to let it go. Since DW and I are still happy with this unit and it appears to have more years to offer us, we've decided to keep our monthly payments in the bank and use them for repairs, maintenance and upgrades until such time as when this unit gives up the ghost. Which we hope is another 5 years or so....Gotta plug the National Rally in Goshen...Everytime we attend it, our rig leaves in better shape than it arrives. Just saying.....

you've had yours for 9 years and things are starting to break? we had one that broke apart after 3 months and then the replacement broke the fame and the closet doors immediately when we purchased it.
I can only dream of having something for 9 years and just now breaking....

Our 2002, 2955 RL PURCHASED NEW Jan 2003 has given us great service no major problem's all original aappliances replaced shower drain 3 sets of tires and some mods.I look at the prices of a new unit plus a Tv at my age I would rather invest in Brick and Mortar that appreciates. Just my opinion.

I am with both of you on this one. Hindsight is always 100% but we should have kept the 06 3400 and done whatever was needed. We made a big mistake buying new again. Our issue now is how much do we spend to get this 13 3402 up to heavy use standards or just get out of the game.

Well, we have only had our first Montana product, a 2013 Mountaineer 358 RLT since August 2013. We liked the bathroom floor plan in the Mountaineer rather than the Montana 3582 which is the same floor plan except for the bathroom. We have had a few problems but was well pleased with our warranty work thru our dealer Dandy RV in Anniston, AL. I absolutely love this floor plan, feel like I am at home in it. I just hope we get many years of good rving in it as this one will take us on out of here. I haven't seen a newer model that I like any better. We also travel quite a few miles every year.

Bought our 2010 mountaineer in Oct of 09 and have put about 18000 miles on it. We live in Lake Havasu City AZ and as some know it gets VERY hot in the summer time. We as they say get out of
dodge and head north for at least 3.5 months. I also own a Tax business in CA so when there I live in it for the 3 months of the tax season. All together I am in it for about 6 months a year. I have had no major problems. Have added some improvements like inside hot water switch, LED's under the awing. Two sets of tires. But that is all. Love this rig and will have it for many more years.

We got our 2955 Feb. 2004 and have enjoyed it very much. We do not full time but have used the Monty a lot. We had almost zero problems ( leaking grey tank) but that is it. The infamous decal problem has been there like others and we have replaced decals Keystone would furnish at the time. It may be time for us to join the "white ghost group".

We had our 3400RL for nearly five years before selling it for a MH. If we ever went back to a 5th wheel, we'd get the same thing in a newer version.

We have had our 2013 3625RE Montana for just about a year. It had the upgrades with the 12 inch frame, LED lights, and frameless windows. We've traveled over 6000 miles since owning it and we're very happy with it. We spent this winter at a brand new RV resort in Fort Myers, FL, and there were some very attractive (SOB) 5th wheelers spending the winter as we did. These were, BTW, new 2014 units, probably near to 20-40 thousand dollars more than our Monty and each and every one of them had serious issues both cosmetic and structural. Yes, they're very nicely appointed, have exterior paint instead of decals, but they were also riddled with a host of problems. After doing the research, Montana is the best value for your dollar and provides a pretty nice unit that you can be proud of. And if you want, you can get the Montana painted for another 7K or so.

We've had ours 9 years and love it. It's been a great, reliable unit. We had some issues the 1st 18 months which were frustrating, but very happy since. We spend about 80 nights a year, most at out seasonal site and the rest on the road. Upgrades, wet bolt shackles, EZ flex equalizer, Michlien tires, lazyboy recliners, HD TV, fireplace, 12" memory foam mattress, Jack direct TV antenna, replaced black tank & converter. I added a pot & pan drawer under oven & a built in hamper in the toilet room. It tows smooth. All appliances are still good. Never had a leak other than black tank. Its a keeper. I read far too many threads here about problems with new. (poor quality control) New is too expensive also.

August 12th of 2012. Been in the shop for close to 10 months of that time for warranty work, and it's not finished yet. Taking it back in on thursday. The selling dealer is a big part of our problems but the trailer did have quite a few issues when it left the factory.
Even so, we love our Montana. Wide open floor plan makes this Montana perfect for us. Easy access to the refer and bathroom with the slides in is one of the things we wanted, and this unit has it. Only option we wish it had it is Level-Up.

8 years and still loving it! Checked out the new ones online and they are all so much heavier, and no rear kitchen (aware of the issues).
