What is actual height from ground to top of ac?

I'm looking for storage for my 2017 Montana highcountry 352 rl. I need to make sure I have tall enough doors! Any help would be appreciated!

Best thing to do is park on a level surface, have someone hold the end on the pavement, and you measure to the top of the highest point on your RV. That way you get a true measurement. I used a 6 foot level on TOP of the AC, got it perfectly level, and measured from the placement to the bottom of my level, I got 13' 3"

I think sitting on the ground at the Rally, I was 13'4". It sits high on the truck, so I would say about 13'6" and add 2 for padding. Also, most new Montanas are listed as 13'4 or 5", I think. They must be allowing for the 2nd A/C since that adds 5 inches minimum and law sets limit at 13-6.

Install a 14 foot door and you won't ave a problem.

I had my shop built for my old rv....13 foot doors.... Now I am building a rv port for the new Monty....setting it at 14'6"....just in case I want to wall it in and pour concrete down the road......

Mine is 13'5'' at top of front air to the ground. Always measure on the truck . It is very important to have your rig as level as possible.I see some people driving down the road with there rig riding to high in the front and this could make the difference in clearing an awning or tree branches or overpass etc,etc. Also to high in the front puts to much undue stress on the rear axle. I park my RV thru a 12' wide by 14' high door . Most rv doors are 14' tall. Do as kozzy says and you will get an accurate height.

I took an 8 foot straight 2 x 4 and screwed in the measuring tape to the bottom edge, and put a 6 foot level on top of the 2 x 4" and took an average reading on all 4 spots on top of each A/C unit, while it was hooked to the truck, and just in case went with the largest reading, and we are at 13" 5". We ran into a bridge in Nashville, Arkansas that said 13' 6" and my wife got out on the side of the hill, and i went about 1 mph and she watched and said we had about 1" of clearance as i went under this bridge!!

I used a Cat Scale fully loaded. The scale had a cross bar with a height listed of 10 feet. I measured and found I was taller than the Montana Speck. So measure measure measure!

The Montana spec is off the floor not off your truck hooked up. Think about it they could Change the height by changing the landing gear up or down. The spect is with the reg level on the lot.

Just added an inch or .9 inches according to the manufacturer. Put Sailun 235/85/R16 LR G tires on yesterday.

If the tires were directly under your highest point, such as the front air conditioner, your height would indeed be that much higher. It is more likely your height did not increase due to the front air conditioner being close to the pin box/hitch location. Your back end of the rig probably did rise up a measurable amount, but not the important clearance height. If you had put taller tires on the truck, that would increase your height.

Don't trust the postings for heights either that are on the bridges. Those were the original height when the bridge and road was built and the DOT may have added several inches to the roadway since it was originally posted. We've had our rig measured for height several times at the Fall Rally. Maybe someone will be there again this year to do it, but who knows.

I've got a 72X50 foot building we keep our Monte in and when I had it put up I requested 14 ft high and 12 ft wide doors put in to be able to pull the Monte in one end and out the other. Got 16 ft ceiling in it also so I can get up on top of the Monte to work up there if need be. They thought I was nuts but I told them what was going in it and they finally agreed. I can now pull in one end and pull out the other with no problems. We can actually store three Monte's in the building and the tow vehicles if need be. Really like my "Monte Home".
