Grounding solar panels?

I was going to make sure the mounts screwed into roof trusses, but I am pretty sure the metal trusses would be connected, probably inadvertently, to the frame. Any body know for sure if panels should be grounded or not on an RV. Yes, I know they are on houses, but NEC rules don't always apply the same on trailers. Would I just be making lightning rods of my solar system? If so I am going to need a LOT more batteries. LOL

There is no special ground run on my panels. The panels are grounded through the wiring.

Tom,

Another options are these panels. Stick right on the roof, and you can walk on them. Rated for 125 MPH wind, mine are almost one year old, no problem what so ever. They do take up more real estate, and you can't til them, but you don't have to worry about breaking them. There are warnings about slipping on them when wet, but I find them no more than the rest of the roof is when wet.
