Additional Back Surgery

In 2008 I underwent extensive back surgery. Tomorrow I will undergo additional back surgery. I'm at a point where it is most difficult to walk. This is caused by trapped (pinched) nerves at L2 and L3. Doc plans on laminectomies at these two vertebrae and says he doesn't think I will need additional fusions. I believe I will because one of the discs (at L3) is practically gone. We'll see who is right. If everything goes as he plans, they will keep me overnight in Lubbock, TX and release me on Wednesday. Should be back at The Ranch on Thursday.

Appreciate your prayers.

Orv

Offered up a prayer for healing, steady hands for the doctor, and comfort and peace for both of you throughout the surgery and healing process.

Orv, take care and prayers are for you, the doctors and your wife! I'm amazed that they're doing that and then you'll be home within a couple of days. I hope you make that schedule to recover at "home"!

Hey Orv, I had a lamenectomy on L4&L5 40 days ago. My disk was completely gone. I've got 9 more weeks of no exercise or lifting over 5#. Which is a bummer because my 3rd grandchild weigh's 7#8ozs. But I feel a world of difference! Just like when I had my full kee replacement 2 years ago. Hang in there, you have our prayers! You can do it.....Tko and BRIDE

Best wishes on the surgery, hope all goes well.Charlie is home now recovering from the same thing. Back brace and not lifting more than a gallon jug of milk. Hopefully good as new in a short time, back doing what you enjoy.
