When I had my 2015.5 Duramax 2500hd ccsb I thought it would pull anything.
2400 pound payload though. I was going to need to add some suspension help and new higher rated tires to pull the fifth wheel we wanted.

So I traded it for the Ram Cummins/aisin crew cab dually. 5400 pound payload and 25,000 pound tow rating with the 3.73 rear end.

I feel much safer now.

Why ORDER ONE? I found one.... Why don't they carry them in their stock? Someone said they are too expensive for the average buyer... Mine had 1200 miles and got it for 16000 under MSRP... that's why I didn't order it..

This is the best way to get exactly what you wont in a truck. There are so many options, colors, packages and configurations the odds of finding it are remote at best. It generally takes about 8 weeks to order.

The thing is is Why does Ram sell a truck capable of towing 30k lbs and not one Dealer Stocks the Truck.. Even Dave Smith did not stock one out of 400 on his lot.. He had duallies with the aisin, but no auto level, He had some with the auto level but they were SRW and the Chrysler trans... this was out of 400.. Towbin in Vegas, McPeek in Anaheim, Sacramento, Carson, Reno... Oregon, Washington.. Idaho... but finally found a used one with 1200 miles and got full trade in on my 15 sRW 3500 Laramie... so it all worked out..

I think you answered your own question. There are too many variables for a dealer to stock everything someone might wont. That is the reason to order. I got an F150 this year. There are 5 trim levels, 3 bed lengths, 6 engine choices and several option packages about 10 colors not to mention all the stand alone options. There was no way going to get exactly what I wonted without ordering.

Check with Bluebonnet in New Braunfels, Texas. Got our Limited decked out in stock there.
