Reproovable Goodyear’s.
Looking for opinions on Goodyear G 614 RST LT 235 85 R 16. Regroovable.
I’ve got them on my 2010 RL3400. I’ve put on around 3000 miles since I’ve owned it. They look good. I guess my main question is if anyone has had this tire regrooved. How expensive, who did it, and how they performed after regrooving? Thanks in advance..

You will never have to regroove the tire. I put over 70,000 miles on my last set and they still had plenty of tread on them when the front drivers side blew and took the one behind it with it. I tried to get Six and a half years out of a tire goodyear says is good for 5-7 max. Dumb idea, now I replace them at 5 years no matter what.

What do you think Goodyear would say if in 5 years we didn't put on 15,000 miles? Rule of thumb years ago with RV tires was you changed them by age rather than by mileage.

The manager of our Goodyear store and friend tells me Goodyear Corporate will not allow their stores to even fix a flat tire that is over 6 years old. Tires weaken with age and become unsafe so unless you put a LOT of miles on them in short order it won’t matter.

A retired Goodyear engineer told me low mileage didn't help trailer tires last longer. In fact the opposite could be true.

After 13 years of RVing and some blow outs. My rule for tires is 3 years and the tires get replaced. And I still keep a very good road service-Coach Net.

I really think that I will stick to my five year life span on the G614's it has never failed me through two Montana's. Always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to what is between your trailer and the road.

Well I would never do that to a G 614 let alone buy another
I had my 3rd and last G 614 Grenade on me this week.
Went with Sailun 637 235/85/16 from Les Schwab for $262.40 each including balancing
Never new my truck and trailer could track and ride so smooth.
