How to prevent brakes from locking up

If you read my previous note on " My brakes locking up" Is there a way to prevent the RV brakes from locking up when they get hot and the pads rest against the drum. This situation appears to happen after a day of driving ( pads are hot ) to the campground and backing into a site. The day I leave the site, the brakes lock up. Not all the time, but it has happened multiple times....

Are you sure your brakes are adjusted properly? I have never had that problem and I have been all through the mountains out west. I hope your not a person that rides with their foot on the brake. When we are going down hill I have a Alison transmission that I let do the work for me. If nothing else I would think about installing an exhaust brake on your rig. Also make sure you have a good brake controller. What did the repair man say from Goodsams? He must have had some sort of suggestion.
If nothing else I would take your rig to a good certified brake dealer and let him come up with a remedy.
I hope this helps, I know if it happened to me I would get it corrected after the first time it happened and not wait until your up in the Rockies somewhere.

With a prodigy brake control, you should turn down the boost when backing up. I don't know why but it can make the brakes lock up.
It's in the directions.

Also if it is a T.T. with surge brakes, they will do that, otherwise you have a problem.

I had mine adjusted like I did my car years ago, but was told on this forum, when the wheel stops you then back the adjuster screw 10 clicks, or 3/4 of a turn loose as per the manual which I did not read the first time. but it did seem to work very well after that.
