295RL new purchase

Hello
We became a new member sometime ago and we finally purchased a new 2024 295RL RV as we couldn’t find a reasonably priced used one and it was a very frustrating experience trying to deal new when dealer prices varied so much, the lowest we found was 60 US, they had started at 78 but we payed a little more and went with a different dealership
We are so looking forward to camping with our grandchildren and their families and our friends
R295 RL is equipped with 16 cu ft refrigerator Rain Sense fans, 400 I solar panel package with lithum batteries , single pane windows, table and chairs
In reading on the form we have seen people with various problems with this trailer but it was the floor plan that work best for us
So is there any inspections a person should get done before it leaves the dealership to minimize problems on the road or is there things we can do at home to address problem areas before we even start camping
Thank You

Get an inspection by a certified RV Inspector if you have time prior to taking delivery. That will provide you with a thorough understanding of the condition of every component and system of the unit. You will then have the tools needed to have the dealer address any issues found.
Best of luck with your new adventures.

Congrats. I have the same model but it's a 2022. I would hire a pro inspector. I took a year and 15 trips to ring out the bugs. Still battling with Keystone on the roof and Norcold on the fridge.

There is a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklist in the Files section. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=87
We highly recommend you *NOT* sign any final document or commit money until you do the inspection and the sealer has *FIXED* all of them. You have all the leverage before the sale. Afterwards you are just another owner waiting for months to get things repaired. There are hundreds of horror stories here about trying to get things fixed after the sale. You won't want to join them.

We have a 2022 295 RL and love it. I would encourage you to get a pro-inspector as our rear AC wasn't plugged in and only the fan worked. We only found this out when we pulled into our spot on the beach with an temp of 96 degrees. We hired an indy RV tech the solved the problem. I didn't catch it because when we took delivery of our 295 RL, it was early October in NH.
Enjoy your new camper!

That is a might fine and detailed checklist! That's good for people who are also looking to remodel after they purchased a used one! Thanks for making that!
