Water running sound coming from Toilet area

We’ve recently notice that we have what sounds like a continually running water sound coming from we think under the toilet area.

I turned off the water outside and sound went away.

We don’t believe we have ever heard this before, is this normal, we afraid there might be a leak, we are here in Bend and did just go through 2 week cold snap in which we were not present.

Any thoughts or ideas….please???

I would say no, that's not normal, and you've definitely got a leak. Others can give you more helpful advice than me on exactly how to troubleshoot the problem, though. It would probably get you more specific answers if you gave your rig's model number and year, because people will be familiar with your particular layout.

In general, I'd say start with the toilet--does the normal amount of water come to the bowl when you flush? Is the flushing foot-thing (can't think of what it's called) depressing properly? (I knew a lady whose flushing foot-thing froze and then broke.) Is there water running into the bowl constantly? Is there any noticeable water on the floor around the toilet?

If the toilet seems to be working okay, then your leak is probably somewhere else--probably wherever you hear the water sound coming from.

I went through a recent cold-snap and had a toilet water shut-off valve break and leak, several hours after everything thawed and water was flowing again.

Toilet seems fine and it will stop after a long time but once you use anything in the bathroom, the running water sound, not sure if it is water.

We have checked everywhere for a leak.

Is it just me or is this app just horrible to navigate, hard to find to reply, let alone post,
Kicks me out and makes me re log in.

I’m not very good with computers, so it might be me.

You might try putting a few gallons of water in your fresh tank, then run the pump.
If you have a leak, the pump will run when it shouldn't. No guessing needed.

Do you have a hose hooked up to the black tank flush port in your convenience center?

This is why we only hook up to water spigots to fill our fresh water tank. If we ever have a water leak, the water pump lets us know. As RMcNeal alluded to - no guessing involved that way.

When it comes to anything computer-related, the problem is always me! But I don't use an app to read or post here--I just use the plain old internet, on my Chromebook or my phone. I usually link to this site through an email I've received from it. You might have an easier time if you quit using the app.

Also, if you determine that you don't have a leak--maybe you have a semi-clogged drain pipe coming from the bathroom, and you're hearing water as it slowly drains around the clog?

I am not aware that there is an App for the MOC. I have heard the software vendor is working on one but it is not available for this forum.

While most of us prefer using a PC and browser to access the MOC; you can do it from your phone/tablet too. Just use your favorite browser. After logging in, scroll down on the Home page and find the option to use the "full" forum.

The most likely reason for you being logged off frequently is *NOT* checking the "Remember Me" box on the logon screen.
