We have the Costco unit and it works very well for us. The only problem I have is rigging up the power for all my gear that uses 12v.. Backup Camera, GPS, TPMS Dash Cam and Phone, ipad all need power. Need to revisit this mess when I get back to Quartzsite..

We have the Garmin Dash Cam 20 and find that it works good. It produces good quality day and night videos.

Just bought the one Costco has today. Still working on how I'm going to install it. I want to hardwire it instead of using the supplied power adapter.

I have been thinking about getting one. I wonder how "admissible" they would be if you needed them for insurance reasons? I wouldn't think there would be any issues with using the footage if you needed to prove something, but I know recording someone on the phone without their knowledge can cause issues from a legal standpoint. The way attorneys work now days, who knows? -Glenn

Video recording in public places is never a problem. No risk at all. It is protected by constitutional rights.
Cops hate this, but there isn't a thing they can do about it, though they repeatedly try (and fail).

Starting today, Costco has theirs on sale for $20.00 off. I have it and it seems to work fine.

Remember they can also work against you if you happen to be at fault in an accident.

With that said I have also been looking at getting one. But reading on-line reviews and comments gets really confusing. Which one has the best picture. Which one has the best picture in low light or night time. Which is the best compromise for night and day. Which one is easiest to use. Etc.

Thanks for the heads up! I just paid $99.99 for this exact camera at Costco two days ago. Looks like a trip back is in order to get my $20 back.
