Hello Charlotte, I couldn't help noticing your topic on "Athens, Texas". We will be in Athens this morning (Sunday, August 27). I will be preaching at Wesley United Methodist Church at 11:00 this morning. I served for 6 years as superintendent of the Palestine District of the United Methodist Church and the churches in Athens were in that district. Although I have been retired almost 10 years now, the congregation at Wesley have shown me the courtesy of inviting me to be the preacher for their Homecoming Service.

We won't be coming in our Montana! Just the auto.

Hi David:
Sorry that I missed your posting. We were out of town for the weekend and then off-line for 4 days. I would have come to your church service to meet you and your wife. I suppose they would have let this old Unitarian in the Methodist Church. Strangely, I was wondering if that was you in the Monty when we passed it. Maybe next time.
