wet bolt angled grease zerks

I believe people have said they have replaced the zerks with 90 degree angled ones. When at the dealer, it looked like the zerk and bushing are one piece. Is this true, or do the zerks come off and hence be replaced.
Thanks for the advice.

They unscrew fairly easily. Not a bad idea and I'll probably do that someday. I've a flexible grease gun extension that works pretty well reaching the straight ones.

Lincoln sells these grease gun zerk adaptors if you don't want to swap out all the straight zerks. It works pretty well unless you have a zerk that is really stubborn on taking grease. It just slips over the zerk at 90 degrees.

dieselguy-- where did you get that 90 degree grease zerk adaptor? I know you said Lincoln but do you have a website or location I can pick one of the adaptors up? Thanks in advance!

It's a Lincoln 5883. O'Reilly's, Autozone, and Advanced Auto Parts all carry them around my area. It works pretty well unless you have a really tough zerk that fights you at taking grease.
